Battery performance is borderline average at just under two hours on a single charge. However, the interface between the external drive and the HP ENVY 15-1050NR is a bit shaky at times.

The other thing that sets the HP ENVY 15-1050NR apart from the rest of the crowd is that it comes equipped with a powerful Intel Core i7 720QM and a gaming-ready ATI Radeon HD 4830. The overall style is sleek and it definitely looks as stylish as its price. At 5.4 pounds, it’s not really that light, but it offers a very solid feel thanks to the magnesium alloy and aluminum metal casing. This allows the laptop to be slightly slimmer, giving it a form factor closer to 13-inch thin and light laptops.

The HP ENVY 15-1050NR looks slimmer and sleeker compared to other 15-inch laptops, mainly because the bottom chassis doesn’t have an optical drive.
